TAPSTI is run by volunteers from a wide array of backgrounds and cultures within the United States. Volunteer with us. We need you. Volunteers at TAPSTI have opportunities to expand their professional opportunities. If you enjoy being in public safety but want to communicate about what needs to be done to fix your part of it we can provide that vehicle. We have numerous opportunities available.

Research Assistants

Responsibilities include locating publicly available documents usable in training, posting papers to the website for others to learn from, and participating in discussion groups in the following topic areas:

  • Public Safety training
  • Drug Testing
  • Mental Health
  • Counseling
  • Public Health
  • Corrections
  • Probation & Parole
  • Policing
  • Juvenile Crime

Content Developers

Responsibilities include creating Lesson Plans the online training is based on. Content developers take the resource material provided to them by a Project Manager, a Lesson Plan template, and then research the topic. They then write introductions and summaries for the resource material, develop draft questions, and locate suitable multimedia to support the training.

Instructional Designers

Responsibilities include taking the Lesson Plans and other materials the Content developers created and then building the online training from them.

Social Media Specialists

Responsibilities include publication and promotion of information posted on the TAPSTI website using social media:
